Treatment Coordinator at SiS Youth Home Ljungbacken
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. Working with us at SiS will make your professional life an exciting challenge. Regardless of where you work in our organization or what position you hold, you contribute to creating life-changing transformations.
SiS Youth Home Ljungbacken accommodates boys aged 16 to 20 years. The institution is located in Uddevalla.
Job Description
Do you want to help create life-changing differences for vulnerable individuals? Then the role of Treatment Coordinator is a meaningful job. The starting point in the treatment work is to motivate young people towards new and less destructive ways of living. You will work in a team of dedicated colleagues, and as a Treatment Coordinator, you will plan, implement, and follow up on program activities. You will conduct treatment conversations and have a special responsibility for documentation and the forms and instruments used in the treatment. You will collaborate with various functions regarding mapping, establishing, and following up on treatment plans, and you will have an extra responsibility for mentoring new employees. You need to work with a high level of risk and safety awareness. This is a job for those who can stay the course, creating security and safety in the often very difficult life situations of the youth.
Qualifications
You have a positive view of people, are empathetic, and can create good relationships, engagement, and participation. You collaborate well with others and have good communication skills, maintaining your calm even in pressured situations. In your role as a Treatment Coordinator, you will have your own responsibility for several interventions in the treatment plan, as well as responsibility on the department that requires experience and the ability to coordinate that work. You need to be able to plan and structure your work, work independently, and take your own initiatives. Since the treatment work is documented and discussed with several different actors, high demands are placed on good Swedish in both speech and writing. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
You should also have:
- Relevant higher education, such as a social worker, behavioral scientist, or other healthcare/behavioral science education, or post-secondary education such as treatment pedagogue, with solid experience in program activities
- Experience in conducting motivational and treatment work individually or in groups
- Good Swedish in speech and writing
- Driver's license (B)
